What happens to a quote you check?
What we store
- The battery, the price, what the quote includes, and the rebate and backup answers if given
- Your postcode
- The installer’s name, if given
- Your email address, if you ask us to email the result
- The result, the date and the page you checked from
Why
To show your result at its own link, and so that we can publish figures built from many quotes, such as the typical quote for a battery in a state.
What is published
Only totals and figures across many quotes. We never publish an installer’s name from a quote, or any single check. A result page shows the postcode but never the installer, and is only seen by people you share the link with.
Your email
We use it to send you the result, and to email you once more later to ask how it went. We don’t share it.
